“Microscripts (after Walser)” is a collaborative book started on the BYU Department of Art’s 2023 Study Abroad in Prague, Berlin, and Basel. Students read from the “microscripts” of Swiss writer Robert Walser and were prompted to write small texts reflecting on the exprience of travel and the mundane on surfaces found during the trip. Surfaces were photographed from both sides and the writing was transcribed and compiled into a book that was Risograph printed on return to the states.
